On October 23, 2025, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) issued a notification under Section 396 of the Companies Act, 2013, announcing the setup of ten new Registrars of Companies (RoCs) in different parts of India. These offices will be located in South and Central Delhi, Chandigarh, Kanpur, NOIDA, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, and Kolkata. Each RoC will handle company registration and regulatory tasks within its assigned area. This change will take effect from January 1, 2026, and is aimed at making corporate processes more efficient and improving compliance across the country.

S.O. 4850(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 396 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby establishes following Registrars of Companies in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs mentioned in column (2) of the Table below having territorial jurisdiction as specified in the corresponding column (3) of the Table below for the purpose of registration of Companies and discharging the functions under the said Act, namely:—
